One of my mentors growing up was a man named Roy Wood. He was one of my dad’s best friends. He worked for the Federal Government in The Department of the Interior.
Way back in 1975 (Jeez…it really has been that long!) shortly after my wife Lynn and I were married, I attended a cookout and Mr. Wood was there. He and I were standing next to a huge bonfire talking and he said something to me that I never forgot. His advice that day has helped enrich my life in more ways than one.
What he said to me was this: “A man needs to have a project going on at all times!”
