Pest control marketing strategies to help YOU get more new customers

Successful pest control marketing is not any one big thing…it is a thousand little ones. And those thousand things need to be done correctly. Because…if they’re not…they won’t get you any new customers.

Growing a business is similar to growing a human body. If you want to put on 10 lbs. of muscle this year you’re going to have to do all of the right things, such as eating a high protein diet, doing lots of exercises, getting enough sleep, drinking the right amount of water, etc.  You are also going to have to have some sort of training or guidance in your quest to build your body. If you don’t, there’s a good chance you will end up hurting yourself!

It’s the same with growing a business. You need to learn marketing and what makes people want to do business with you. You need to know what works and what doesn’t.  If you spend a lot of time and money on marketing and advertising…without first gaining the knowledge…you will not get a very good return on your investment…and in many cases…you will get NONE!

Ray Kroc, the founder of McDonald’s, once said, “People don’t realize it but my clean restroom floors are marketing!”  Yes…in fact…there are people who like to eat at McDonald’s simply because they have clean restrooms!

So think about your marketing plan…

  • What are you doing to bring in new customers?
  • What makes your phone ring?
  • What do the people in your community want?
  • What pest problems are they having?
  • Why are they living with bug problems?
  • What would it take for them to pick up the phone and call YOU?

Pest control marketing is no different that small business marketing of any kind. You need a plan and a course.  And you need to have the focus, determination, and work ethic to carry it out
